Sessional Terms are courses that are typically anywhere from 3 to 10 weeks in duration and are designed for dancers who are looking to try dance but aren't yet ready for a 10 month commitment and/or a recital performance.
Full-Season Terms are for 10 months (September - June) and are designed for dancers who want to grow their skills, sense of community and have the opportunity to perform on stage. Full-Season classes are our most popular classes!
Tuition rates start as low as $80 per month*, depending on the age and level of the dancer and the length of the class.
*see payment terms below for options
Our Spring Recital will be held on June 6th, 2026 and is the showcase of our classes that are part of the Full Season and Competition Program.

The Winter Showcase is held annually at the end of January, at an offsite venue. Performer Fee is $99 +GST for a showcase costume, and tickets are sold for the event - families choose how many family members are attending. Ticket fee is based on the venue booked for the event.

Welcome to Leap Studios — where we take pride in being a leader in happy, healthy, and safe dance education. Our faculty are highly trained in dancer development, injury prevention, and the promotion of positive body image, and are dedicated to fostering a learning environment that supports each dancer’s physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Whether your child is taking their very first dance class or is an experienced performer seeking a more balanced and inclusive approach to training, we’re thrilled to welcome your family to our community.
This guide outlines the key studio policies designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and enriching experience for every dancer and family. Understanding and following these policies allows us to operate smoothly, uphold the quality of our programs, and ensure that all students can thrive in a positive, well-supported environment.
By completing registration in a Leap Studios program, the registering participant (or their parent/guardian) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the studio policies outlined in this guide. These policies are in place to ensure a safe, respectful, and successful experience for all students, families, and staff. Participation in any class or program at Leap Studios constitutes acceptance of these terms.
We are committed to offering high-quality programming and a financially sustainable environment for our community of families and staff.
These policies help ensure fairness, predictability, and sustainability while supporting your child’s consistent and rewarding dance experience.
We strive to provide an exceptional dance experience while maintaining transparent financial practices:
We offer flexible payment structures to help families plan for the dance season:
We rely on timely payments to operate smoothly and provide consistent service to our families:
If you're facing financial hardship, please reach out to us at help@leapstudiosdance.com. We’re here to help and may be able to offer custom arrangements.
We welcome new students throughout the year, space permitting:
Our full-season programming runs from September through June and guarantees a minimum of 31 class sessions. Tuition is calculated based on this minimum, allowing for a consistent weekly rhythm of learning.
In some cases, the calendar may allow for more than 31 class occurrences. If so, we reserve the right to cancel additional classes due to weather closures, competitions, or studio events. We always aim to communicate schedule changes clearly and in advance.
Our leveled system is designed to support long-term development:
Leap Studios retains final placement authority based on our faculty’s expertise and understanding of curriculum standards.
Parents wishing to challenge a placement decision may request a Placement Audit:
This process ensures transparency while prioritizing student safety and progression.
Our Dance Team offers additional training and performance opportunities for dancers selected by audition. This program has its own set of policies and commitments. Please email us to request the Dance Team Handbook.
We may adjust our program delivery due to health regulations or studio needs. These adaptations include:
These changes do not constitute valid grounds for withdrawal or refund.
We share the responsibility of nurturing your dancer’s safety and success:
Your partnership helps create a respectful and efficient studio culture.
Make-ups are limited due to space and curriculum pacing:
We do not offer drop-in make-ups or replacements for vacations or other personal absences.
A minimum of 6 students per class is required for a class to run. Classes may be rescheduled or combined if minimums aren’t met. Final schedule confirmation occurs in early September.
Enrollment secures a spot that is no longer available to others. By registering, families agree to pay the full tuition amount, even if the student discontinues attendance without an approved deferral.
Costumes may be provided by the studio or self-purchased with approval (competition solos/duets/trios)
Leap Studios is committed to a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment:
Clear communication is essential to a smooth and successful season:
Being informed helps your child feel prepared and confident and ensures you don’t miss important events, deadlines, or opportunities.
Please note that this policy guide is reviewed and updated periodically. Policies are subject to change, and Leap Studios leadership will notify families of any significant updates via email and the Dance Studio Pro portal.
While we strive to address the majority of operational and program considerations in this guide, it is impossible to anticipate every situation that may arise. Any unique or unforeseen circumstances not explicitly covered herein should be brought to the attention of studio leadership. We are committed to working with families to find respectful, mutually agreeable solutions that align with the values and integrity of our studio.
